シェパード・フェアリー展 Shepard Fairey @Cincinnati

一ヶ月前になるけれど、シンシナティ・コンテンポラリー・アートセンター（近代美術センター？）で開催中のObey Giantやオバマ大統領のポスターで知られるシェパード・フェリーの展示を見てきました。

This is a little while back... we went to check out the exhibition of Shepard Fairey at the Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center.


壁画などの大きな作品は、やっぱり迫力が違った…　作品はとっても乞っていて、紙が何枚もレイヤー状に張ってあり、模様が多少透けて見えてたりと、実際に近寄って見ないと気がつかないディーテールがいっぱい。とても刺激的な展示だったよ〜　オススメ♪　

The large scale work like murals had so much impact because of its size. It was awesome to see that some work was about two-story high. Looking them at close, I realized that some work are created on heavily layered background, and full of details that are only visible from close range. The exhibition was great and highly inspirational. If you have a chance, check it out!
　
美術センターの建物自体も、ユニークなデザインで建築好きには楽しめるかも。
The building for the CAC is an art by itself and nicely designed. If you like contemporary architecture, you probably will like this building as well.

下の写真はおまけ。美術センターの窓から見えたグラフィーディー（落書き？）と向かいにあるレストランなどが入っている面白い外見の建物。
