daily findings :: wooden toys by PlanToys

ランチにお呼ばれした友達のウチにあった木馬に一目惚れ。

I saw this wooden horse when we went over to a friend's house of lunch other day, and I fell in love with the design!  

 

さっそくメーカーのサイト をチェックしたところ、私好みの素敵なデザインのオモチャが沢山！今日はプラスチック製のオモチャが主流で木製の素朴な物は珍しい。特にアメリカには日本 にある様なセレクトショップが少ないから、この手のデザインの良い物が手に入りづらい気がするなあ…　デザインからしてHABAみたいなヨーロッパの会社かと思えば、PlanToysってタイの会社なんでびっくり！しかも環境に優しい素材だし、ぜひ機会があれば購入したい…（オモチャありすぎなんだけどね。…私用ってことで？　苦笑）

It's hard to come across nicely designed wooden toys nowadays... Too many plastics. I've learned that it was made by PlanToys, in Thailand. It was a little unexpected. Based on the design, my first guess was that it's an European company like HABA.

Although we have too many toys, perhaps one from PlanToys will be my next purchase for Akari (or myself??)...
