赤ちゃん返り Reactions to her brother

ビックリしたのは、出産前日からなぜか急にママっ子に変身し、特に出産した日の朝のベッタリさは普通じゃなかった。どこに行くのも（家の中で）私の手を握りたがり、病院に行く準備をしていた私の代わりに他の人がアカリの相手をしようものなら「ノー」の連発で私の側を片時も離れたがらなかった。終いにはパパに赤ちゃん抱っこ。 これっていわゆる子供の第六感ってやつだったんじゃないかなぁ〜

What really surprised me was Akari's reaction before the baby's arrival. It started a day before I went into the labor. Usually she is very independent, but especially the morning of the delivery, she was unusually clingy and wanted to be my side all the time and hold my hand. If someone else tried to take care of her while I was getting ready to head out to the hospital, she screamed "NO!!", and asked me to do things for her instead. I wonder if that was the six sense and she knew that someone was about come out and she had to share her parents??

 そんなアカリも、実際に弟くんが生まれてからの赤ちゃん返りは思った程酷くなく、「ケンたん（ケンちゃん）」と既に言っているのがカワイイ（親ばか…）弟くんの泣き声を真似するのだけれど、これが上手で時には誰の泣き声なのかわからなかったりも…(苦笑)

ママはシェアするのは我慢することにしたらしいけど、さすがにパパっ子アカリは旦那くんが抱っこするとヤキモチ。割り込んで抱っこを阻止してみたり、泣い て抗議したり… まあ無理もないんだけどね～ まだまだ甘えたい1歳児なりに新しい環境に対応しようと、アカリなりに頑張っている様子。

To our surprise, Akari is adjusting much better to the new addition to the family even though now she has to share her mom and dad. She even tried to say his name although it's not quite right just yet (It's really cute... okay, i know it's a silly parent's rant). Often times, she mimics her brother's cry which is pretty close to the point we cannot tell who is crying! funny!

Although she is okay sharing her mom with the little brother, being such a daddy's-girl, she cries and prevent her dad picking up Kensuke often. It's certainly not so easy for the 19 mo. who is used to getting all the attention from us, but we can tell that she is trying her best to get used to the new situation and to be the older sister already!
